Land on the root
Four chromatic notes. The last one is the root, on the downbeat.
I, IV, V, V7, vi, bVII.
First position. Other keys use an E-form or A-form barre.

Land on a chord tone, usually the root, when the chord hits.

Same closed shape, one fret lower, then slide up. F# into G, C# into D, G# into A.
Start a half step sharp and come down. Don’t sit on the upper fret.
Closed E-form so the whole grip moves. Play the left diagram, slide to the middle. The right-hand grip is the fall-in from above.
Four notes, last one is the chord root. Repeat it on any string that has that root.
Teal is the target chord. Amber is a half step below each of those tones — slide or walk into the teal.
